I always like to have earthy tone colors at my Shop and when I sell at the Artisans Plaza in Old San Juan. This scarf is tie-dyed in golden brown and also rust and chocolate brown with a bit of black for contrast.

I love the white pattern that was created which separates the colors, bringing light to this chiffon silk scarf.

These are wholesome down-to-earth colors that are classy and stylish at the same time, making it perfect for that special conservative person in your life.

Our Touist Season has just begun in December. This means I am very busy in order to keep up with the most awaited Cruise Liner Tourist. These are just some of my most resent hand dyed and hand painted silk scarves. Each time I go to the Artisans Plaza in Old San Juan, I have to take a fresh supply of scarves to sell. Some of these have all ready been sold.

I try to have hand dyed in Tie Dye technique in all the sizes so as to give the customers a choice also must have some in the Silk Painting and Batik techniques where butterflies and flowers are the most popular

Kelly Green Charteuse Hand Dyed Silk Scarf

In 1764 this gorgeous yellow-green was named because of its resemblance to the green color of one of the French liqueurs called green chartreuse and so the name.

I always like to use several shades of the same color and so I have added a beautiful bright kelly green on the border and deep blue green that highlight the two colors.

Wear with blue for echoes of nature or with tan beige or brown for an organic feel. Try with black and white and yellow for a sporty touch.

I always like to create this color combo ... golden brown, rust, chocolate and black as these are neutral colors with a punch.

These colors would be considered 'warm neutrals" because of the spicy and robust personality that they display. In chiffon silk, the colors are quite saturated and vivid. The pattern is a short stripe in rust with black.

Wear with your browns and blacks. Wear with your all your natural jewelry for the organic natural look or just tie your hair back for a modern look.

Unique Petroglyph .. Sol (Sun) de Jayuya ..

Petroglyph Sol de Jayuya Hand Painted Silk Scarf

Petroglyphs are rock carvings or carved in stone. This particular petroglyph, Sol (Sun) de Jayuya, is not found any other place in Puerto Rico and because of this, it is of great archaeological value.

The other petroglyph is the ... Coqui Taino ... also a very popular petroglyph (paying tribute to our most loved ... tiny frog ... that is not green but flesh tone).... used as inspiration for tattoos.

Our Petroglyphs were carved by the Taino Indians who inhabited Puerto Rico in pre-Columbian times (before 1493). Some believe that they are artistic symbols or writings or have a religious significance.

I hand painted the design on blue-green chiffon silk. It has a border of leaves and vines.

Wisteria and Periwinkle are cousins ...

Wisteria and Periwinkle are two colors in the same family ... one is a pink blue violet and the other a blue blue violet. They compliment each other to create a soft romantic and feminine combination. Because it is warm and cool at the same time it is ideal for any wardrobe. Wear with jeans or wear to hold your hair back for fresh spring look.

How very gorgeous is this Treasury. Here in Puerto Rico we see Butterflies all the time and each time is like the first time seeing the ... Beauty ... and the ... Flutter ... your eyes dance along with them wanting to hold on until they are gone.
