Hand Painted Puerto Rico Sol de Jayuya

Petroglyphs are rock carvings or carved in stone. This particular petroglyph, Sol de Jayuya, is not found any other place in Puerto Rico only in Jayuya and so is of great archaeological value.

Our petroglyphs were carved by the Taino Indians who inhabited Puerto Rico in pre-Columbian times (before 1493). Some believe that they are artistic symbols or writings or have a religious significance.

The other petroglyph is ... el Coqui Taino ... also very popular even as inspirations for tattoos. I hand painted the design in earthy colors of camel, bronze and chocolate on habotai silk.
Size: 11 x 60 inches * 27.94 x 152.4 cm

Kissing Cousins Wisteria and Peri

I say this about these two very sweet and charming colors.

Wisteria a pink plum and periwinkle a blue plum make such a romantic pair.

As I was putting the final touches on this hand dyed scarf I could hear the wonderful exotic birds outside my window. The chirping of the birds and the peaceful breeze swaying the palm trees leaves added dimension to an already heavenly day. I extend this to you.

This scarf will look fabulous with jeans. Pair with any blue, pink or plum in your wardrobe for added flare.

Size: 14 x 72 inches * 35.56 x 182.88 cm
